The good news (I hope)is that I continued with my Workington challenge and I am through into February....so hopefully it was an isolated incident. Nonetheless...2.5 seasons of Blue Brazil football down the drain.

| Nope, this is the bug where the penalty shootout result changes after the game, generally costing you the game.

| If you go to the Bugs forum there are several messages about this sort of thing. I've emailed SI and let them know and they've told me they are looking into it. I suppose they will get this fixed with the next patch.
I started my Cowdenbeath save again with the same parameters...so we'll see if I can get through.

Ok...I just thought I would pass along an update on this:
I played two saves in a row where I got to the third season and the game unexplicably crashes on January 6, 2008. The bugs forum has several cases like this and in each case the crash date is right around the same date.
On my third try I have been successful in finishing the third season and (obviously) got past January 6. \0/ In all 3 saves I was running England, Scotland, and Ireland (all leagues) but in my third save I do not have the US league running (it was running on basic in my first two saves). I don't know if this is the reason I've been able to continue...but I might advise staying away from running that league until SI comes out with a new update.
