Season 7: 2011/12:

Players in: 7 (total fee: £0)
Players out: 5 (total fee: £2K)

Conference North: W 18, D 12, L 12, P 66, 7th

FA Cup: Third Qual. Round
FA Trophy: Second Qual. Round

Had a slow start, one point from the first five matches. Then beat Leigh RMI 3-1 away at
Hilton Park and went on a ten-matches unbeaten run. Lost two matches from then till the
home match against Leigh RMI. Lost that game 2-1 and won only 4 of the remaining 15 matches
after that. Scored 77 goals in the league, more than any other teams in the english league
this season. My downfall this season were all the goals conceded.

Was sad to see that my old club Alfreton got relegated from Conference North, while Wrexham
managed to get straight back up to League Two.

Season 8: 2012/13:

By staying under the wage budget I made a healthy profit of £32.000 last season, and the
board has given me a transfer budget of £10.000 and increased the wage budget for this season. That might come
in handy when I try to bolster up the defence this summer. I think the squad right now is good
enough to be fighting for a promotion spot. The Leeks are going up this season!!!

Good point.

So if Leek Town have got promoted, that means one of two things...

1. veggie has used an editor. :thdn:
2. Teams outside the Northern/Southern/Isthmian Premier divisions can get promoted to Conference North/South

Which is it..?

Which is it..?

1. First of all, this veggie has not used an editor.

2. Leek Town is in the Northern Premier League, and has been for the two last seasons
at least.

So the fact that Leek got promoted, can probably mean a few things, but not the two
things you listed.

Simon. If I were you I'd flee this thread and never post in it again. You're being owned every time you post

Jordi has made a valid point, although it's not just for this single thread.

It appears Veggie that you are indeed right. I thought they got relegated last season.

And I was hoping we were back to the days where any random small team could eventually be promoted...

Season 8: 2012/13:

Players in: 3 (total fee: £0)
Players out: 3 (total fee: £210K)

Conference North: W 21, D 10, L 11, P 73, 3rd

FA Cup: Second Qual. Round
FA Trophy: Second Round

One of my strikers wanted to move on to play on a bigger stage, but I was intent
upon not selling him for anything less than his minimum fee release-clause. In the
end he was sold for £210K. One of the players that came in, a 16-year-old defender,
turned out to have some talents in the goalscoring department, and ended the season
with a total of 24 goals, only one goal less than the topscorer.

An injury-plagued season ended with a place in the playoffs. Beat Bradford PA
comfortably in the semi final, but sadly lost 3-2 to Hednesford after extra-time in the
final. A long run in the FA Trophy gave me quite a few problems with injured and
unfit players in the middle of the season. But all in all a good season for the Leeks.
