Default So is managing Weymouth discouraged?

Just did a little experiment with them, and they seem like the perfect team to perfect tactics with. I understand they may well be against the LLM rules with vets, but after a promotion into the Conf. National, I'd like to see where I get from there.

I think the reason they are THAT good and so far away from anyone in the league is there ridiculously overpowered strike force at the start of the game, as well as having two great utility wingers.

Anyway - I don't know how curious you would be to hear from me when five seasons are done with (should be in under a week), or whether this even belongs here or not, but I think I'll probably just carry on with it regardless.

There seem to be three reasons for their success:
a) they're the only professional team in the Conference South, and can thus offer higher wages and attract better staff/players
b) they already have a rather strong squad to begin with, and
c) their manager has ridiculously high attributes

They also have a lot of money, I remember seeing them sign a player for 170k in my first season.

Weymouth are not banned from LLM, regardless what some may tell you, they are, however, frowned upon for established LLaMas playing with.

As long as you play to the LLM Ethics and post accordingly (three seasons qualifying...blah...blah...) then all should be well.

And
d) Because most players have FT contracts they can train harder
e) besides relative good players, also the squad has enormous depth to deal with injuries etc
f)And yes there transfer budget is rather high.

But to play or not to play with them is a decision everybody needs to decide for himself.

If this is your first venture into LLM, then I would say they are an ideal candidate for the steep learning curve you are about to adopt!

Just move to a slightly harder team each time you start a new save, when you are feeling more confident.

I agree with Stan. If it's your first dive into LLM, Weymouth might be an ideal starting point to get a grip of using your scouts properly and playing the game in the LLaMa fashion.

Probably not, in the case of someone playing as them.

I my game they have...

played 23 won 18 drawn 5 lost 0

They are 14 points clear after 23 games. They do seem just a bit good.
