I have an issue with high bids and player sales, and would like the regulars' opinion on it. Was mentioned in the Vauxhall thread, but I'll put it here to not hijack that one more than it already is.
My best player (at least worth most), AML is worth £120K. Now a fellow SPL side has faxed in an offer of £1.5M. Would it be against the LLM ethos to accept this bid as it's fairly high, or would it be acceptable? I don't really know if it's realistic as I don't know what players go for in the SPL, but I know that I wouldn't let him go for anything less than £1M as he's very important for the team. As we don't desperately need money either, it was going to take a high bid for me to consider it.
What are your opinions on the LLaMa-ism of accepting their offer. And please not the usual phrases like "If you have to ask..." or "Is it realistic?", because I simply don't know if it's realistic or not.

If you don't need the money why compromise your team by letting your best player go?
I would only offload a star player if I was desperate for cash or he was unhappy and playing crap! Oh, you can add the holding out for a bosman transfer to that as well!

Well, too late now. He's gone off to greener pastures.
I'm thinking a bit ahead I guess. Want to build up the coffers a bit so we can afford stadium expansion, if the local bloody council will allow it sometime in the future.
He was mighty good with a great serve, and would no doubt do us good in SPL. However since more players are interested now I've gone on a singning spree. The money from the transfer opened up more options, and I believe we can bring in more quality for the dough. That should help us stay up I think, as friendlies have gone decent so far. May not be as well set on AML, but the team should definitely profit from it long term.

Yeap seems the 6000 seater rule hasn't been implemented in FM2006 My team is now in the SPL  with a few less seats than that. Seems like the sale of my star striker in a bid to raise funds wasn't required, oh well too late now I'm sure he will score a hat trick against me when I play Kilmarnock next

Good Luck for SPL. I got Gretna up their with two consecutive promotions but with complete luck in SFD and then only got 4 points all season and didnt win. The council blocked a vital stadium expansion for me as well
