Thanks for the thumbs up. Stenhousemuir isn't that far north rabbitman. It's quite close to Glasgow actually. There's an arm of water stretching in near Loch Ness too though

KUTGW! And up the Warriors!
Won't see many turn up as both Falkirk and East Stirling are only a few hundred yards away and Falkirk only has a population of 150,000.

Everybody expected us to battle against relegation, we were given a 100:1 shot of making promotion. We needed lots of players, and fortunetely the scouts came up with a few decent ones. Bought 8 players for 22K, but only 3 made the team on a regular basis. Loaded off 8 for 13K. Most prominent buys was a good MC for 1K, and what turned out to our life-saving striker for free.
We struggled with our backs against the wall all season, dangling from 8th to 10th. It was an incredibly close race between all teams, practically everybody beating everybody. At the end of the season we managed to string together a nice run of games. Last 8 games read 5-2-1. That came as a godsend as all teams in the bottom started winning towards the end. Due to very small margins we actually finished 5th, 7 points from the drop. Livingston got promoted with only 57 points. Our star-striker scored 36 from 37 starts  Without him we would be down by xmas.
Nothing to report from the cups as I sent out the rookies, as I wanted to concentrate on the league.

Still about nobody willing to join, unless I find something to sign in the next month I expect the same fight next year, although the close-season run was a confidence-boost. The other teams are bringing in talent from all over the world for my yearly budget. Have to try staying in the division for a few year. Hopefully our reputation will increase, and some talent will be willing to join.

Yeah, it's quite frustrating, and it doesn't look like I'm gonna get anything good as of now. Relegation battler from every corner again. Was good fun last year though, but also incredibly frustrating at times.

I found the 1st division really hard, in fact I got relegated in my first season. As you said the gulf between the first and the second division is really big, mainly because the teams are professional, and have a lot more money.

Yeah, it's a pretty big gap, and we were lucky to survive despite the good position. Have a transfer budget of 275K and nobody willing to join. Then other teams in the division are buying players for that kinda money worryingly often. Takes a lot of time to bring in cash too. The only thing that really helps a lot is getting a lucky away draw in the cups. But as long as we can survive and slowly increase are reputation, I believe there is hope
