Does LL rules state anything about the nationally that you select at the beginning of the game? Do you normally choose you rl nationally or the league which you playing in?

Inquiring minds (mine) want to know.

Pick whatever you want. I myself usually pick a name and nationality that fits the country I'm playing in.

There's no rule on this one way or the other. I think the majority of us who choose alternate nationalities are Yanks or other non-footballing nations who can't imagine our nationality allowing us to have the reputation for a good carreerist game. As Cosmo noted, generally we take a nation and name that matches the league we are starting in.

I used to adopt suitable aliases wherever I went.

With FM I've retorted to another tactic, make myself an Andorran manager with my real name in the weak belief that Catalan would read as my language.

However, SI don't recognise Catalan as a language , so I'm stuck speaking a language that ain't official in Andorra...
