Just English to lowest league

Season 04-05

I started unemployed and about 2 weeks in i got the Exeter job (yay!), but to my horror they had sold my favourite player a DL for a measly accept a friendly thingy. So in the end i snapped up a DL for 1k form tiverton, a 4k MC from Luton and a GK for free.
I was tipped to challenge for the title, but i would of settled for a play off space and to pay off my loan.
The biginning of the season started bumpily with only 11 points out of a possible 21 in the first 7 games. But after that my team never looked back and contstantly was challenging 1st place. In the end i slipt away and we finished 2nd (19pts behind Stevenage ) play offs here we come! We met Gravesend in the semi and TBH it wasn't hard, with a 2-0 agg. Barnet in the final, until the 86th minute it was 2-2 but then my CM signing pelted it in from 25yrds to score the winnig goal! L2 beware!!

Season 05-06

Expected to fight against relegation and TBH i thought i would, but during pre-season i managed to bring in 3 decent players on a fee, an amazing SC a DMC and a DR, these 3 players would soon prove to be the backbone of my team. I also sold 4 players for a combined 6K.
After a bad start to the season i found myself sitting in 23rd for most of the season, but a end of season push saw us end 18th in the end, mainly thanks to my "amazing striker who bagged us 25 goals, but we did have the worst defence in the league conceding 86 in 46 games!

Season 06-07

Expected mid-table safety, but TBH i thought we could do better! With a total re-haul of the team, bringing in 9 players and out went 6, icluding a MC for 50K.
After losing the first 5/6 games we soon found ourselves bottom for the first half of the season,but in January i bought back the same MC i'd just sold for 5K!!! 45K profit yeah!!
This seemed to give my team some class and in the end we ended up steal the final play off place on the last day. TBH i didnt expect to win the play offs, and my thoughts were justified when we lost against Luton 3-1 on agg. On the bright side my striker was still banging in the goals, this time it was 23 goals!

Season 07-08

Media expected me to win a playoff spot nad TBH i expected them to get one to. So after bringing in 3 players and rejecting a 650K bid for my star striker (with i later deeply regreted) and getting rid of 2 other players, and we were on our way!
After a pretty un-amazing season we found ourselves contstantly challenging for first place but after a decent FA Cup run (we lost to Arsenal 5-0 in the 3rd round) we found that fixture congestion caused us to slip up and settle for 2nd. League 1 here we come! We also had the best attack in the league, scoring 81 goals with 29 coming form my star striker! Which is still the league record even though I'm currently in the 2017-18 season! :eek:

Yeah, thanks, bah its hard to remember eg season 06-07 when i'm currently in 2018! I think i'll do an update a day, depending on how bored i am

Season 08-09

Now I'm in League 1 the odds re stacked against me, and after losing my star striker to a bosman (650K anyone? ) and selling my DR for 350K I had a pretty crappy team, so after spending 240K on 3b players :eek: I was (sorta) ready for a season of relegation scraps (I had no chance TBH) and TBH i can't remember any of it, too long ago, all i remember is not climbing above the 16th place spot.
But i did get into the LDV Vans South Final! After winnig the home leg 1-0 i was optimistic, how wrong I was. I lost the away leg 6-1, making it 6-2 to them on aggregate oh well... In the final 6 games we went without winning which got us relegeated (2pts below safety )
