If memory serves the board tend to be fairly forgiving about you league position until after 10 league games so I would expect the AI managers to make room for you shortly after that  Good luck with the job hunting. 
I have played 4 matches since the patch 2 wins a draw and a defeat. If there is a difference I can't say I really notice anythin yet.

After a few more games I would have to say the game appears to be tougher. Very difficult to judge over such a small space of time but I'm not disapointed so far!

What does appear to have happened is that SI have fixed the numerous issues that led to the mythical "comeback" bug. But as I seemed to gain and lose from that in equal measure, I'm not sure if that is a good thing.

I agree with you mkus. I had exactly the same thing in my Slovenian Exploitation v2.0 save.
Been at 6th place before winter brake. Lost last two matches with agg of 3:9, installed the patch just before spring season and went on winning streak of 11 matches :eek: with no praticular changes in my squad or tactics.
Lost in promotion playoffs, though.
In my experience, they went a bit far with that tweaking and tuning.

No real changes here in post and prepatch.
Was 4th before applying and have ended the season 4th. However, the big 3 gave us a hard time when we played them this time and the bottom teams were easier to play...

I've downloaded the patch but haven't installed it. I've got a distinct "feel" coming from guys who have, dud teams suddenly winning the Copa Libertadores...from Asia :eek:
*kidding*
I'll keep an eye on responses before installing it I think.
