So far I haven't had a problem getting a winterbreak friendly, albiet in Russia.

I struggled immensely in Romania getting friendlies, and resorted to playing my Under 18s once a week...

Most leagues that have winter breaks don't allow friendlies during their breaks. That's the idea of the word 'break' not 'mid season friendly period'.
