Well actually I was just wandering wether there are people who like to manage countries with absolutely no potential, such as Libya and Fiji or even worse: Tonga, and organise vriendlies with countries that are even worse in order to climb on the world ranking list, and try really hard in qualifications so you can actually play in a tournament. The qualification for the Oceania championship is a lottery and with Australia out of the way anyone can be a champion. I took up an obscure country from North America and really enjoyed it. Maybe there are more lunatics like me, the best place to look for people with sad obsessions is the lower leagua managers forum, isnt it?

If you started out by managing a nation, then no, you're in the wrong place.
If however you were offered an international job after your exploits with your club, then fair play.

You've missed the point of LLM, friend.
The way of LLM is to take charge of one of the Clubs in the lowest league available for any given Nation and then to play it as realistically as the game allows, failing or succeeding using your own mettle.
You can't do that with International management, ergo it ain't LLM.

Well they offered me the job, and now I just doing what I can to get them on a decent spot. Instead of hopping to clubs with a higher reputation, Im hopping to countries with a higher reputation. Thats not very wrong, starting unemployed, getting a job at a crappy club, managing a country after a while and then taking lower league management to another level?

Ah, so you started off with a Club side and went International later?
If that's the case then carry on.
I was offered Mali when I was in the Championship with Leigh RMI and took it.
There's not a game for 6 months so I'll have ample time to devote to Leigh whilst waiting for a Mali game.

I managed Cyprus once for about 10 seasons, can't remember what save, but I do remember it was 01/02.
Not once in five attempts did I come close to qualifying for anything. |

Managing Surinam at this moment, and playing friendlies against all sorts of obscure countries, hoping to take them to a place within the top 100 of the world ranking list, and its working, i think.
