Hello there,
as I'm new to this "world", thought I'd ask a few basic questions, to which I've no idea what the answers are.
Started out unemployed, and decided to wait for a job offer. Promtly recieved an offer for a newly relegated team to the conference (after a whole season). Thought to myself: I'll have a piece of that.
The club's finances are ok, a few quid in the bank for transfers, not much for wages.
First season went pretty smooth, managed to sell my top scorer for 750 €!!
Now in my 3 season.... and here are my questions:
Why, after I secured a place in League two, does the club offer me a new contract, which is significantly lower than my current deal?
Why, after a few good runs in the cups and so on, is the transfer fund much lower than to start with?
Why can't I get more funds to pay the wages of the higher class players I really need, in order to stay in League two?
This just seems bad buisness to me. My directors should be licking my boots, after what I've done for this team.... an do think I've turened down two jobs, because I like to think I've got a backbone....
