I'm developing a deep hatred for Porto...

If they didn't beat me every time we play perhaps I'd think differently

Ian, this isn't Civilization where you can wish for city enhancements.

I think next time I play CivIII I won't bother building the internet. I'd hat to inflict txt on my e-citizens.

If you do decide to build the internet, try to be aware that non-English speaking people in chat fora like, say this one, can't understand text speak. Therefore it's requested that people refrain from using it. Hey hold on. This point is already mentioned in this thread. I take it you don't believe it's valid then?

No, I believe it's totally valid. If I have to spend more than one scan read of a post to work out what's being said and it's not due to an innocent typo then frankly it's not worth my time and effort reading it.

The person that writes in txt clearly is far too busy for vowels, a complete moron or possibly both.

It's certainly helped keep my spelling, grammar and punctuation at a decent level while I've had a year out before going to University

Many users who frequent LLM don't have English as their first language.

Those users have the decency to post in English.

It's good manners to post in English so those users who don't have English as their first language understand what's being said.
Ian in non-english-LLaMas-care shocker

Thanks, by the way.
