Alright so I told a flagrant falsehood. It's not as though FM06 isn't spectacular (it is) or that I'm none too interested (I am) but I find myself pining for this career, which is really at its peak for me (I love that 10-20 year stretch best of all).

Thus, I have taken it up again and will perform updates despite myself. It turns out that by deleting all of that needless grad-school work, I have room for 05 and 06 after all, and thus will split my time accordingly!

Wigan Athletic
END OF SEASON UPDATE - 2015/16

Played out 1.5 seasons on 06 and another one on 05. I'll transition this to the 06 update when I finish the 3rd. Slowly 06 is taking over time. On to the update -
2016 saw Wigan finish in a comfortable 9th but with considerable profit. We are a wealthy club now and can only hope that we can actually spend a bit of it as we are still in desperate need of a match breaking forward or midfielder. The squad is otherwise solid although nothing stood out this season except for the 7.89 average for one of my centre-backs. We beat most teams lower in the table and lost to most teams higher in the table.

On an interesting note, Arsenal finish 16th, only 5 points clear of relegation - the lowest I've ever seen an Arsenal club finish in any of the numerous CM/FM titles I've played. This with a considerable amount of expensive talent, too. I'll follow this closely next season to see if they rebound.

I've seen Arsenal in Div 1 (as was) and beat them to promotion as Villa. That was CM3 or something like that and quite a few years into the game.

I've yet to see it, although I frequently play in Italy as well - nice, though, to think of the mighty falling every once in awhile.
