MID SEASON UPDATE - 2011/12
Grad school continues to interrupt this career - midway through, though, only a short update is necessary. Premiership is HUGELY more difficult than Championship and we rightly suck.
Cheers

END OF SEASON UPDATE - 2011/12</B>
I’ve taken a few days off of doing what I should to complete this damn season and here are the abbreviated results. Nearly every player that could manage an avg. > 7.2 in the EC is now hovering nearer to 6.2. We had but one 15 goal scorer and 6 of those came in two cup ties against the lowly types. No tactic change has worked and nothing seems to shake the lethargy that strikes my team as soon as my opponent scores the first goal (often within 5 minutes). We’re dreadful and without the amazing run of midseason form (which lasted about 8 matches) we would have been relegated. As it, Black Cats, Pompey and (unexpectedly) Fulham drop, while we survive in 17th by one point (which came on an unexpected draw against Newcastle second to last match).
This is more like it and I’ve never enjoyed the idea of building a squad more.
Meanwhile, Ireland look to keep it respectable in the Euro12 group – not much hope but we can only try.

END OF SEASON UPDATE - 2012/13
OK, so now I'm hooked again and my degree is in jeopardy but...
We improved greatly after a dreadful start with a key signing that used every penny of my transfer budget. Suddenly, with one midfielder, my scoring chances improved tenfold. We finished 9th overall, which was nice, beating the poor teams and losing to the best save a 1-0 tactical struggle against ManU late in the season.
The squad, however, is nearly depleted as I am losing 9 players in July as none of them will renew their contracts with me. Of these, 6 are first team regulars and 2 play often enough.
Ah well, another relegation battle to be sure, although the board just expanded JJB putting even more pressure on me.
Ireland look to qualify for WC 2014 by being generally better than the qualifying group - only Russia have beaten us with three to go.
And there you have it, another unread, unconcerned update.
