Default PREMIERSHIP AHEAD!

I know I am new to the LLM experience so don’t flame me right from the begging. I randomly choose a team from Conference North or South: Worksop.

Goals:
<LI> Achieve a premiership club the fastest possible!
Season 2005/2006 Worksop

Unfortunately, there was the worst team to be. Soon I was informed that there was no budget (oh really) and realised that the squad was very poor even though I could spot some potential half decent players. The backroom staff level was very poor… The odds were against us both board and fans asked us to avoid relegation.

I send my scout to the United Kingdom plus Ireland hoping that he would manage to find the solution to all our problems. After poor first results he got us what we had need of, some free players (experienced or youth) plus some players whose value was € 0 or so low that we were able to negotiate. But I was forced to sell some key players and renegotiate almost all players’ contracts in order to balance my economical situation.

In: 9 players (€ 1k)
Out: 9 players (€ 30k )

The season was alright playing above expectations, between 6th and 19th, we managed a clear 12th place. Both board and fans were happy with performance. Some of the half decent prospects paid me for their place on the team with average performances, especially to English dribbler who got us some nice 19 goals out of 37 appearances and to the Welsh Midfielder who won the fans award due to his high contribution to the team (some goals and assists) there was also a Uzbekistan winger which was the only decent player left in the squad started very well the season but after an injury he lost the full control of his legs(Unlucky as hell :thdninstead of his normal 8's I had now a bad mixture of 6 and 7 (just when his girldfriend would watch his matches).
I would describe my team as the team which attacks and doesn't score the whole first half and in the second half comes completely revamped starting to concede goals, we would always win against better teams but always lose against weaker teams. The remarkable win against Nuneaton (4-0 AWAY ) made them almost lose automatic promotion the same didn't happen to Stafford which after losing with us lost their automatic promotion. Nothing to speak of about cups.

12th Worksop | 42 G| 13 W| 15 D| 14 L| 56 GS| 49 GC| +7 GD| 54 P

Season Highlights:
<LI>Managed to win 4-0 vs. Nuneaton (Away) and vs. Kingstonian (Away)
<LI>Average attendance was: 641 (the highest was 1547 vs. Northwich)
Summing up:
This season was poor we could have achieved a better position but we had a young and naïve manager (me) who has a very attacking mentality who made very basic tactical mistakes plus he would lose his temper very easily making the team morale drop…
I didn’t get invited for a new club . PREMIERSHIP AHEAD!

More to come…

Good post, but you have to complete 3 seasons to do an update (unless your writing them now of course)

In those forums it's less of premiership ahead, and more of " premiership...ha! i won that 4 times with the help of Sonic the Hedgehog, he's a great player, with Batman and Robin at the back"

then they move on to more exciting worlds ...such as champions league and world glory.

I prefere making clubs go out of bussiness myself

Season 2006/2007 <STRIKE>Worksop</STRIKE>/Wycombe

God had abandoned the ship so the season started very bad. We lost many games plus we were collecting a major debt and apart my efforts to reduce wages and try to sell players nothing seemed to work. Again no budget!

In: 6 players (€ 10k)
Out: 6 players (€ 12k)

I kept the main stars from the last season and managed to buy a star wars winger to Worksop, but sadly I realised that apart from his regrets about being the centre of attentions he wouldn’t do much more than our previous Norwegian winger…
After a poor beginning I felt it was time to change tactics and try out something new, hell no, we won a few games and we were now sitting again in 12th making both board and fans very pleased as I was avoiding relegation again.

This is when Wycombe job comes available and they ask me if I wanted it, I couldn’t say no. So I jumped up now playing English League Two. I manage to avoid Conference National.

The squad was poor, the most decent players were some 4 on loan players plus a English star striker… to my bad after 1 day on the job 3 on loan players leave the club, I tried to get them again but their clubs were reluctant to lend them due to out position in the league (below relegation line). This club had € 500K on debt but they had a small budget!!! This was a professional club so I had time to tweak a bit more my trainings schedules. The scout was sent and this time he was doing his job found some brilliant English midfielders as also a young promising defender and striker. I was forced to spend my budget on them as apart from the missing quality in the squad we were also short on options. Most of them were coming only next season.

In: 3 players (€ 0)
Out: 13 players (€ 13k)

Huff this was a lot different than Worksop. Started well climbing from the back till a 10th place, but soon our lack of options and our star players spending half the season recovering from injuries when there were only 3 games left we had a decisive game to avoid relegation. Luckily Star Striker backs from his illness and bangs an decisive goal which made us win against almost promoted Grimsby, now there were still 2 games to play and only 2 wins would make us survive, we won the second game with a goal from the recently bought Hungarian midfielder, but last game was a mission impossible we lost… but everyone else lost (Carlisle and Chester) so we didn’t get relegated!

|22nd | Wycombe | 46G | 13W | 14D | 19L | 63GS | 76GC | -13GD | 53P |

Maybe next season we would get promoted wit a few good singings already made. Premiership is to far away right now…

Highlights:
<LI> Worksop finished the league in 8th place mainly due to the winning streak that was going on when I left the club.
<LI> Our debt us now more than € 1M
