Player Naming edited. I'd recommend a quick refresher of the forum header and rules before your next update, Kelf...

Almost ending next unbelivable season! I need to win 1 of 2 games in order to achieve this important goal.

It's like watching tv in the US and seeing the "trailer" for the news:

"Coming up at 11, we'll tell you how going to your local grocery store could be fatal. To learn how to save your life, tune in then"

If it's that fecking important tell me now, plurks. If it isn't, shut up.

[/rant]

Oh, and my point (yes I did have one ) - updates are all that's necessary, Kelf. People will still read it without the need for trailers.

I check it now and they were doing far better than Doncaster which is lying in the last place ( stupid AI manager sold the stars left the newbies). Amaizingly Cardiff is now at a safe 12th position and the Championship is almost ending!

Season 2008 Stabaek

After my first title with Doncaster some clubs (Bolton and Leeds) which had been relegated to the Championship invited me in, both were rejected. If I had to stay at the Championship I would be Doncaster! I was decided to stay but a good offer from Stabaek some Norwegian Tippe Ligaen club (top division of Norway) made me think twice. They were offering a nice budget, plus I asked them to improve their training facilities and they accepted, so I was forced to leave Doncaster.

They were at sitting at the back of the league and it hadn’t arrived yet the middle season holydays. In the next day of accepting the job I had to play against some better classified team for the Norway Cup plus it was an away game. They squad was very good at the back but really poor in the midfield and attack. We managed to loose by 0-1 vs. Viking Away but I checked that my first tactical impressions on the team were right we needed 2 decent central midfielders plus a fast and able to dribble winger and a tall striker.

In: 20 players (€ 4.9M, most of the singings weren’t made by me but by the former manger many of those players were sold) 11 Staff (€ 300K, including me)
Out: 13 players (€ 4.1M, as said before) 5 Staff (€ 0)

So 4 singings after, we were winning by large numbers to everyone finishing the season unbeaten and in the first place WE WON THE TIPPE LIGAEN 5 points ahead of Rosenborg. During this season we only draw twice against Ham Kam (3-3 Away) basic mistakes from our Swedish genius striker and some lack of concentration from our Swedish left defender plus a late goal (which this time Ham Kam deserved), Ham Kam got relegated in the end of the season. The other draw was against Rosenborg (2-2 Away for the Royal League) we were unable to secure our 2-0 lead again by some late goal!

You maybe interested to know that apart from being a Norwegian team most of our key players are Swedish, only our tall striker is Norwegian! Both board and fans were really amazed according to them I should just avoid them from being relegated (indeed I would if I hadn’t singed 4 key players (but they were very cheap Mr. Scout did his job very well). I singed also 2 players which Doncaster wasn’t happy with but according to me and my scout they had clearly something more to give to the football world! (It was my Chinese Sweeper and my Slovakian defensive midfielder).

We are now heading to the Champions League and in the half Royal League already played we are now in 1st in our group 2 points ahead of Rosenborg. I didn’t get invited to any club just wishing for some Premier League team to catch me and help me out achieving my goal! I don’t think I will need to buy some one for Stabaek… we are too strong!

Highlights:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE> Wycombe is currently 19th in League Two
Worksop is now 20th in Conference North
Doncaster is now 18th in Championship
Crystal Palace is making a strong Premiership performance (3rd), their long serving star striker as even been 2nd in European Striker of The Year
Rosenborg is giving millions away into reinforcements € 10M until now.

This was our final standing! I didn't win the Manager of the year prize (unfair really).
