Hmmm... Kelf used to post in GPG and T&T. However, he's not posted in either at all since he's ventured in here. Early signs are we may have a convert.

Let's see how he goes... in the mean time, welcome to LLM Kelf. Stick to our ways and you'll fit in here.
Go back to the heatens, and we'll show you the door.

Today I will type another season (this one is full of success)... I stricktly followed all LLM rules I even spot some nice players in opposition and didn't sign them just because the scout didn't said nothing about him. Early signs were the first players that the scout came up with I needed players so I didn't look much after their quality. BTW next chapter will have Doncaster involved...

Kelf - if you see a player in a game against you and he looks good, you can send a scout to look at him and see if he's worth signing - LLM is about realism, not making life overly difficult. You'd want an opinion based on more than one match, which is where a scout comes in. It's OK to give the scout a nudge in the right direction if the player is observed legitimately

Just for clarity - from the guidelines with the appropriate bit in italics

Quote:
Signing Players/Loans

Players should always be scouted before signing, preferably from a scout search.

Players appearing on News items as top scorer or player of the month, or players identified by yourself in opposition teams may of course be approached, but again Mr Scout should do his biz with them.

unless mr scout is useless, then you may sack him and offer all your hopless grey players contracts, get your side relegated and eventually be sacked

That may be a personal philosophy, maker-bloke, but it's not a guideline
