You're a victim of branding and great marketing.
If you want a nice looking car, that is in repair all the time, get one of the above. If you want a car that works and you can drive, get a Toyota or Mazda.
This year for example, millions (!) of Mercedes' and BMW had to be called back because there were bugs in seat heating, causing burns. Also, service is an unknown term for them. You buy a BMW, you get an almost naked interior. Sometimes you even have to order a radio or whatever "extra" you want for ridiculous extra fees. Also, you can't buy every extra with every class. If you want some special feature, they might tell you that you have to buy a version with a larger engine instead, because you don't get the feature otherwise.
Same counts for repairing: you can't even switch a lightbulb yourself if it breaks or runs out. The lightbulb can only be reached (and changed) with a special tool only the manufacturers and franchise repair shops have.
My mother has a Volkswagen, and when her lightbulb had to be changed, it looked like:
lightbulb: 7,90 euro
worktime: 120 euro
German Cars: great brand, great feeling - rent one, but don't ever buy one.
