Yes, a second update thread from me, I asked the mods and iajafer siad it was ok, so here we go again. I'm playing this game on another computer, I'm lucky to have 2
I didn't really knew wich club I wanted to manage, so I decided to ask the mighty Frank, altough I knew it had to be a club based in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Poofland of Holland.
The first team that Frank gave was named QUB, playing in the Northern Ireland 2nd Division. Now that's a challenge I thought, started up FM and there I was, managing QUB (wich is the short name for Queens University of Belfast). The stadium holds a whooping 1000 people....
After a quick look through the squad it seemed bad, but since it's LLM in Northern Ireland, what could I expect? So, the only scout was send off to scout in the neighbourhood, the coaches (2 of them) were told to do some coaching and I was sitting, waiting, wishing what the scout could bring me.
After the first few (Intermediate League Cup) games it seemed to be a decent team, winning against 1st div sides, losing against "weaker" opponents...
Signed in a few freebies on scoutrecommediations, didn't care what position they played, tweaked some tactics and voila, we won the 2nd Divsion.
Season 2004/5
League: 1st, 22-45
Northern Irish Cup: quarterfinal
Steel & Sons Cup: Semi final

Off to the 1st division we go...

Thanks Frank, I really needed a challenge... Post #2
In the summerbreak my scout was still finding decent players and since the board asked my to stay clear of relegation I decided to stay within my wagebudget and only signed 4 players, while 8 dead wood players left the club, bringing in a whealty 0 euro's.
Again the season started with the Intermediate League Cup, again I didn't survive the groupstage. I didn't care, it looked like I had to play another 6 friendlies. The league is far more important, so after finding a fair first eleven we were ready to battle against relegation.... we thought.
Halfway through the season we were in 1st place, unbeaten, 2nd Title in a row....
2005/6
League: 1st, 22-62
Northern Irish Cup: 4th round
Steel & Sons Cup: 3th round
Intermediate League Cup: Groupstage
So off to the Premier League we went...

Offcourse, when you get promoted to the Premier Division you improve the sqaud. I did, signing a new goalie since 2 left on a free and aftre losing some other dead wood I saw I had some room left in my wagebduget so I signed a left midfielder, since I could use someone on that side who wasn't rightfooted
Again the season starts off with a cup, this time it was called League Cup, again played in groups, so again I had some extra friendlies to play. In a stupid way I survived the group, wich I really didn't want to
The league, offcourse batteling against relegation I thought, started off nice with a few wins, draws and a loss. Halfway we were 3th, chasing Portadown and Institute. After the midseason we went on to grab points, but when the season ran to an end, Portadown and Institute both went on a losingstreak, while we kept getting points... The title was secured on the 29th matchday.
2006/7
League: 1st, 30-63
Northern Irish Cup: semi final
League Cup: quarter final
When I became manager of QUB I never dared to dream of winning a title with them, let alone winning the Premier League. Now I'm facing CL qualifying rounds... I'm thinking of moving clubs, maybe Ireland, maybe Wales

Northern Ireland is my local league and I found it frustratingly easy. Linfield, Glentoran and Portadown's dominance IRL isn't recreated in FM which spoilt it for me and ended up finishing me with FM05.
Roll on FM06.
KUTGW with Queens and good luck in Europe.

After last seasons title the bookies seemed to think we could do that again, so we were placed on "evens" for the title. The league started off in a not so smooth way, getting only 6 points from the first 4 leaguegames. A little change in my starting squad and signing a new defender did the trick, by christmas we were first again, after 26 games we weer crowned champions again.
Some weird bloke decided we should play in the All Ireland Cup and they gave me € 190.000,- I could use a cashinjection, altough the CL 2nd qualifying round fixture against Club Brugge was a needed cashinjection as well
I did say I would try to get to another club, but I didn't recieve a single joboffer, so I'll stay put
Season 2007/8
League: 1st, 30-75
Northern Irish Cup: quarter final
League Cup: winners
Champions League: 2nd QR, lost against Club Brugge 0-4 and 0-2
