Signing some freebies since there was hardly money to spend and buying 2 players after I sold a AM C; I was ready to battle against relegation as the board asked me to. After 2 games we were in 1st place, when the winterbreak came we dropped to 9th. Bought a AM R to replace the 3 AM R's who hardly knew what their job was, the newbie showed them who a player on that position is supposed to play, hopefully the 3 poor ones will learn something in the near future.
After the winterbreak we bounced around in the league, from 5th place dropping to 11th and then climbing back to 7th. At the end, we finished on a shocking 5th place, just above PSV.
Cup's? Who cares? Ajax 2 won it ffs, Excelsior lost the final, but they enter UEFA Cup instead of the cupwinners

Seaosn 2010/11, Emmen
League: 5th, 34-56
Dutch Cup: Quarter final

Finishing 5th means UEFA Cup, after 3 seasons I'm back into Europe.

Thnaks to my Dutch Premier Division player of the year who was sold to Ajax for a sick amount of money the low-on-cash problem were over. To compenste the loss of my best winger I decided to buy a new goalie and I managed to get my hands on a few promising players and even some players who new what the game was about.
We started of great, until the 9th game we were in first position. After that we started to struggle, still managed to stick between 2nd and 6th place. Eventually we clinched 3th place, wich later turned out to be just good enough to enter the Champions League \o/
Cupwise it went rather good, PSV beat us in the Dutch Cup semi final, Newcastle beat us in the 2nd KO round of the UEFA Cup, after I was 3-0 up with just 20 minuted left to play

My AM C scored a sick 43 goals, 28 of that in the League. Still he didn't win the European Golden Boot because a Spanish striker scored 27 goals... The UEFA probably hates Italian AM C's I guess

Season 2011/12, Emmen
League: 3th, 34-70
Dutch Cup: semi final
UEFA Cup: 2nd KO Round

Former clubs:
QUB finished 1st in Northern Ireland Premier League \o/
Skewen Athletic finished 12th in Wales Premier division.

Different leagues have different goal factors, Emmeneaar.

IIRC Spain is on x1 while Netherlands might be on x0.75 or x0.5.

"Since 1996/97 the ESM (European Sports Magazines), of which France Football is one, award the Golden Boot again, with the modification that goals in leagues ranked 1st-8th according to the UEFA coefficient list (which determines the number of entries in the UEFA Cup) are multiplied by a factor 2, those in leagues ranked 9th-21st by a
factor 1.5. "

Netherlands is currently 5th on the Coef. list, so it should be x2 and therefor my AM C should have won the Golden Boot
