Default Northern Ireland Leagues

G'day all. I just had a quick question and needed to vent some building frustration.

Is anyone else playing with a team in the Northern Ireland leagues? I think i read where someone was playing as PSNI. What are your experiences with the following rant like?

I decided to take up the challenge with Chimney Corner (who? exactly!) and so far its been fun. However my accountant has leapt off a bridge and when the bank manager and his muscle come around i'm busy hiding.

There is ZERO money in this league, none, nada, zilch. I'm halfway through my third season, having made it up to the Northern Ireland First Division and my wages are under budget but i am still losing $8k pounds per month. I currently sit a lazy 160k pounds in debt yet my board is still pleased. Most i can get in a transfer for a player is 1,000 pounds. I would have to sell my entire squad 4 or 5 times to break even.

Another issue is with youth players being poached. I had 2 really promising 16 year olds who had seen some action in my first team. They have both been poached by English Conference South clubs. Compensation to me = $0. Now when i check them out and select "Attempt to Sign" i am informed that i would have to pay $65k and $50k in compensation to their new clubs. Agghhhhhhhhh.

Rant over.

I am going to have to work out a way to skim the books if the board has no problem with losing money

Sorry about the repeat post. I had posted it but when i checked the forums i honestly could not see my new post so i figured i had screwed something up (as i am prone to do with this fandangled contraption) and i reposted it. Now they both appear. Doh.

Mods can you please make me look less like an idiot and remove this topic. Cheers.
