Grey players get their attributes "adjusted" when you sign them. I signed a half decent grey SC when I was desperate and he turned crap the second he signed the contract. Money-spinners they are not

I signed a grey D/WB RL as cover in my Yeading save, he warmed the bench well, played a few games, released him when I got someone better, he's managed to scratch out a career for himself in the Scotish 2nd and 3rd divions.
