As I like the game as realistic as possible I want to start a new game as an unemployed manager.

If I eg would apply and be hired by a conference team instead of conference north/south would this be conform the LLM rules?

Obviously you can't decide which team comes in for you, but we LLaMas reckon it's a bit unrealistic if a team from outwith the Lower Divisions comes in for an unknown manager.

However, it tends to be the same team (which starts managerless) that offers you a job at the start of each game...so you might want to consider taking not the first job offer you get, but the second, which should be a bit more random.

Starting unemployed sucks. Maybe it will work a little better in FM '06.

I did it, though, but I waited until the second season, when I took charge of a recently promoted club to Conference North. That's a lot better.

Seems okay in Italy in FM 06. A lowest division side came in for an offer. Even negotiated with them and they gave me more transfer money...I'm suspicious of that though because they gave me quite a bit. Need to look into that some if I ever get the time.

it is correct that every time you start up a game it is the same team that will offer you a position.

Only if you refuse it will be more at random.
