sometimes it feels like you have 25 emo people at your disposal , not 25 profesional who earns 2-10 mln a year.. and enjoy freakin life .. yet

1 drawn game can make you loose next 5 games. till you find weak team to win over.. and get some morale back to get back to wining streak .. its kinda sad.. that you can win 10 games in row. then get 1 loose or drawn , and loose another 5 in row.. just cuz everyones morale is as 12 years emo boy, who didnt got his dad to buy transformer for him...

i wont mention about how silly sounds " unhappy " and perfect happiness/morale.. for player..

or how guy goes on poor morale for totally no reason..

another fact seems international games.. i remember playing with everton.. and my gk was howard i think.. anyway he went to usa game vssomeone.. they lost.. and his morale since that was bad for half season.. or more.. i mean CMON ? get over it.. i mean i love basketball.. and i was sad when we lost in semi finals this year.. even if lithuania was best team, but geez even i wasnt emo about it.. next day we took 3th place..

so tell me why profesionals who get paid A LOT go emo like this..

there is tip or someone said that win leads to wining streak loose to loosing streak.. how is that realistic, if you loose game do you come to next game to loose.. with idea.. we suck/ lets suicide and you cant even pass ball. or you come. CMON LETS DO IT, and actualy play.. im sure you would play. as i would..

getting tired of games where my team plays perfect. and in another they cant pass ball..

If anything, that makes it sound like morale has had no effect whatsoever - the exact opposite of your assertion that it's deciding results over and above other things.

No. That was one example of my only good player playing brilliantly throughout the season and STILL having morale issues.

For those players not as good as him, morale was either "poor" or "very poor" for the majority of the season. The cumulative effect of this wrecked the game.

It didn't seem to make any difference if I won 5 games in a row, morale would rise very very slowly, then one draw or defeat and it would plummet again. It's a vicious circle.

I was just illustrating how morale on this game is flawed, when even your best player and prolific striker cannot get above poor morale over a whole season.

And besides, why are you even accepting that this player's morale should still be poor???

I think I know what the issue is here. The beta patch has a change that is supposed to make morale more flaky for teams full of newly signed players. This was overdone, and was toned down for beta patch II and will be further improved before the final patch.

Has anyone forgot also, there was no public beta this year were people applied and a handful were selected due to the idiot who spoilt it.

This year there was less bodies testing 08 than 07 as it was only being tested by the in house people at SI.

Because I don't know who he was; who he played for; what his ambitions are; what instructions he was being given; how the team was doing regardless of the goals he was scoring; what disciplinary measures may have been taken against him; whether he was happy with other players or not; how he perceived you as a manager...

Lots of things affect morale, not just performances on the pitch.

Poul you wrote earlyer in another tread, that you didnt see a reason for not starting a "long term" game before the final patch. Could you please answer me this:

Does what you say still apply when you edit the database with the pregame editor (here i mean make a new club...)

On a related topic, rather than starting up a new thread, anyone know why when you get team talk feedback your assman may say something like "team morale is excellent at the moment" yet when you look at your squad their individual morale is anything but - and vice versa.

Its like the team are really pleased with how they are playing but p'd off about something or they think they are playing really bad but dont care.

I cant think of any reason off the top of my head - but then that is why we issue these disclaimers, as you never can be 100% sure.

Have you tried this already?
