Right, loving this game as much as ever. Just something I thought to as regarding loaning players.
Even if I lead division 1, it seems to me AI controlled teams have advanatge of getting players on loan I am unable to get. Those teams fighting for relegation somehow persuade getting premiership reserve team players which I am unable to get on loan, why is that? And I'm pretty sure my reputation etc would be better as well. Even if I do the loan bidding same time as some other team ( which has poorer facilities and on bottom of table), these players always opt to join any other team, and when I faced no competition they refused join me.
Anyone else having these difficulties and what could be the problem?

Yeah it's an issue thats been around in all versions for as long as I can remember and can be very frustrating. Strange it's never been addressed as im sure it's picked up by the testers

Loanees played huge parts in promotion campaigns for me in both FM'05 and FM'07 .. not sure I agree with your blanket statement.
towerofpower - did you earn promotion from League Two at the end of last season? Or, maybe I should phrase that, who are you and can you show us your league placings for the past three years? .. so we can judge the 'reputation' side of this.
Also, how quality are your other players at that player's position? I can certainly imagine the player refusing to join you if he doesn't expect to start.
