Yeah, tbh I never have complained about the bygs etc in fm08, but I've easily achieved greatness with the .01 patch, so to keep myself mildly amused I attempted to inject a conference team with 1 billion worth of cash through the editor, I changed the balance to fit accordingly, as well as the transfer budget, yet the team never gets more than say about 25mil. Ridiculous. What's the point of the editor if you can't do stupid things like inject a billion pounds into a conference team?

Because the balance is linked to the reputation of the club, to stop people like you cheating like this. And it's deemed far too unrealistic for a club with a reputation of 1 to have a billion pounds.

The game has to have these checks so it's balanced for regular players. It shouldn't have to bend over backwards to take into account people who do this sort of thing.
