I try to stick to young and cheap but if memory serves me well I once started a game with Real Madrid and being the sad git that I am tried to relive the Galactico era and would only sign players for over £20m. I had £90m in the bank and got Totti for £30m, Zanetti for £22m and Delp Piero for £38m. This was back in the days of CM.

My most expensive signing on 08 was Elano for £10.5 at Bayern and I only spent it because the board were concerned that my tight grip on wage control may affect our ability to attract players to take the club forward. Thats gratitude for ya.
