in FM07 i bought kaka to liverpool for 56million pounds.
followed that up with a 36mill pounds bid for a cracking little striker who gave me 27 goals in his first season which was the most one player had ever got for me in 5 seasons.

you over paid for kaka there - got him for 21 million euro (£14.5 million) in the same season as you. he was unsettled and had only played 31 times in 2 seasons at milan (mailnly as a sub).
my best sisgning though would have to be sabastian giovinco for 3 million euro

The biggest signing.....
In FM07 I signed a DC/ST who was 15st 7lbs (I think).
In FM07 I signed a 29 year old DL who went on to score over 100 goals for me.
In FM08 I signed a GK on a free who has scored 28 goals for me.
I never really get to a stage where I can spend much money so they are "big" signings for me.
I remember paying a few million quid for some Colombian kid called Freddie in CM03/04. That was money well spent.
