Most Premiership managers have been replaced (e.g. Hughes went to Newcastle early doors) but Benitez remains. Grant (I edited him in) was, according to the media, threatenbing to walk out at the end of the 2009-10 season, but nothing happened.

im a little disappointed that theres really no news item about a fairly significant event like that (ferguson retiring), esp. after how many years on the job? i didnt even realize he retired until some media item that ancelotti was in came up a few weeks after his hiring.

Now this is what I find quite irritating. Ferguson would never get sacked unless it was a truely disastrous season and even then he would resign. This goes along with Giggs and Scholes on the transfer list and in 07 Maldini was always on the list. It just wouldn't happen, surely SI should have something built in to make sure certain players end their career at certain clubs just like managers.

What's even worse is that in my game Fergie got fired mid way through season when in 7th but 3 years later Benitez is still at Liverpool with top class finishes of 14th, 12th and 10th!!

Ferguson resigns in June 2010. His successor is Roland Nilsson who won the Premiership in his first season. It Sept 2011 and Man Utd are top of the Premiership leading Raymond Domenech's Arsenal by a point.
