So the argument that graphics makers are doing something illegal - RUBBISH. They have done nothing wrong.

When graphics makers do their thing and submit their finished work to websites, they can declare their own redistribution terms and conditions - be that in the form of a readme file or like at sortitoutsi.net where redistibution terms are stated when you download. PachaMama blatantly ignored those terms.

What terms PachaMama ignored exactly?
He just "supply to third parties for no commercial gain and for their personal use only" - thats what he did.

PachaMama ignored the terms applied to the author's work once packs are completed (in readme's etc) - ie no redistribution without consent.

Authors are perfectly within their rights to apply restrictions - they aren't going against any conditions of the original files they used to create their graphics.

when somebody gives you something, it becomes yours automaticly, and you can do with it whatever you want.
for example - a freind of mine, A, gave me a book that he wrote, i read that book and gave it to someone else, B, - as it is.
now A can call me a thief??
whats here is against the law? and which law is it exactly?? ha?!

ok radestock,point taken and i stand corrected if thats what it says on the arsenal website,but does the same apply for all teams logos? just want to reitarate that im not taking sides here.I have downloaded many packs from the original authors but i would also download pachmamas file regardless of who created it. notice the word would :thup:

er no - what he did was rip several pages out of the book and write his name on the cover

You are just missing out the bits that are vital (the terms agreed to when downloading) so that your argument works.

Friend A gives me a book - under the terms that I keep it for myself and don't offer it publicly to thousands of people without asking first.

That means I can't offer it publicly to thousands of people without asking or else I'm breaking those terms.

There isn't any credible argument against this.

No, but if you then tell your friend B you wrote the book (or combine several books from several authors and tell B that you wrote all these books, for him so he didn't have to lend all the books individualy) then you would have broken various laws (actual ones would depend on your country).

(In the UK with a book you can do pretty much anything you want with the book, unless you want to pass it to someone else then you need to have left it in the same binding and cover as you received it - so no changing the cover and putting your name on it, or changing paperback to hardback).

He downloaded the logos without signing or accept any agreement(contract).
He didnt promise nothing to no one and therefore he doesnt have any obligations. period.

American Idiot, did you noticed each time you download a file pack on sousie you have to acept a declaration for sousie to download the file, and if you bother to read the readme files you see we have a dela kinda like the one you acept when you install FM on your pc.
He's been banned the links removed and he is no longer taking credit for other people work.
