Default British Football League Project

I propose the "British Football League" as a fantasy database to play with.

I am not sure if this has been attempted before or not...

I am totally new to data editing, and have not played with it save a few tweaks here and there....

Any tips, suggestions before I go on making this a go?

I suppose I can create a playable league, or is this a mis-guided assumption?

Basically I propose swapping the bottom 4 clubs from EPL for Rangers, Celtic, Hibs, and Hearts,

Throwing the bottom 4 out of the Championship into next step down and entering Killie, Aberdeen, Inverness Caledonian, and Dundee Utd.

Motherwell, St Mirren, Falkirk and Dunfermline can rot in League 1 and earn their way up.

Where would I throw Irish League teams as I am not familiar with them?

British Premier League (3 down)(20 team league)
Championship (3up, 3 down)(20 team league)
League One (3 up, 3 down)(20 team league)
League Two (3 up, 3 down)(20 team league)
League Three (3 up, 5 down)(20 team league)
Conference East (1 up, 1 down)(25 team league)
Conference West (1up, 1 down)(25 team league)
Conference Highlands (1 up, 1 down)(25 team league)
Conference Eire(1 up, 1 down)(25 team league)
Scottish Recreational(25 Team League)
Welsh Recreational(25 Team League)
English Recreational(25 Team League)
Irish Recreational (25 Team league)
That is at least 300 clubs before I introduce any lower leagues.

Basically merging Eircom Premier league and Irish prem as conference Eire.
Welsh Premier = Welsh recreational, save a few teams?

Here is a link basically summing up what I will attempt to do.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Football_League

So I guess I am looking for help, volunteers, or just positive input.
Especially since I know nothing about lower leagues as I do not follow it in the news/media, nor do I play FM with lower league clubs.

Cheers.

**disclaimer**
This is in no way intentional if someone has already started this project, I have done graphics in the past and when i tire of playing and need a break this year I thought I dabble in Data. No Offense intended if I have stepped on proverbial toes.

I know, It may actually eliminate a bunch of pain and suffering just leaving them out of it...

HAs this been done or attempted here?

I know the issue on most of the Euro Super leagues etc is that you have to have 1 Country, But since it is a UK league...Most of the NewGens will be English, with some irish, scottish and Welsh youth regens.

I have bumped it down a bit since toying around last night.

I am basically proposing a merger between the SFA and English FA.

So I have left the Welsh and Irish Premier Leagues out of it.

What do I do with the Scottish leagues though? Do I have to set them as England for their nation...Or do I simply unckeck the league?

If you do this, DON'T use the 'Great Britain' country in the database in any way. It won't work, I spent hours on this and it didn't work

Yes, I made a GB mod for fm06... that had a GB nation though.

It's quite a simple thing to do tbh. Should take no more than 20 minutes.

I've put the project on hold, lost interest.

It did work, the quick one I did make.

Fairly Basic.

StephenHP - Would it be possible to swap the British leagues into the scandanac=vian leagues thus essentially making the Royal league a home nations championship?
