Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default ...have lost a game they should have won easily

I'm currently in my 7th season at Man Utd, we won the last 2 titles, however this season we are just awful.

Now, this just applies to domestic games, in Europe we are so clinical 5-0 at Rangers 3-0 at Roma.

However, no matter who we play this season we can't put them to bed, I'm gonna finish outside top 4, yet in Champs Lg final.

The problem isn't tactics, because we have lost a few games due to my errors with tactic selection and I accept that. However, we seem to always be 0-0 at HT (away) and 0-1 at home at HT. I don't know how to solve it, we're just wasting too many chances, defenders making too many mistakes.

Just played Spurs away, they have 13shots, 3 on target, we have 9(7) 4 very good chances to Ronaldo and Pazzini. They have 3 shots on target, score 3.

This happens all the time in League and FA Cup, never in Europe. Any ideas???

I have minimal CF on my defenders, tend to play mixed quick attack 4-4-2 at home or 4-5-1. away we play 4-5-1, 4-3-3 counter or 4-1-4-1.

Thats how this game is. Its annoying as hell, you can have over 10 shots on target, yet their keeper just seems to be invincible and its often, quite unrealistic really, but oh well.

Good try, but the argument on superkeeper has been defeated already. There isn't such a thing.

Or if you're West Ham and play Everton, Wigan, Portsmouth, Newcastle etc. It happens.

That was always the worst problem with the game but I dont feel it happens as mush with this game, but as I havnt been a good team yet.

In the past i have to admit its made me want to put my fist through the monitor lol

Im west hame and im fantastic in europe getting to the uefa cup final twice in 4 years, but in the league the best i have managed is 5th place, one season finishing 16th =[

it's the nature of the game really, there's probaly little you can do, just wait for next season.

What's annoying is when it feels scripted. You start fluffing gilt-edged chances very early in the game, and think to yourself, "I know what'll happen here. This is going to be one of those annoying games where their goal is protected by an invisible forcefield, but they nick one out of nowhere at the end, and there's nothing I can do about it."

Then, regardless of any changes you make, that's exactly what happens, a very annoyingly large percentage of the time.

It's not the fact that it happens which is the frustrating and infuriating thing, it's the regularity and predictability of it.

Spot on! You just know it is going to happen! Has anybody ever been like 2-0 up vs arsenal and ended up drawing 2-2? This happens to me often and its one of those games where you would've taken it at the start but know you fluffed a 2-0 lead!
