Hi, I've started a new season a few days ago with Sporting CP from Portugal and with a good look around these posts I managed to come up with some good results. I got some training schedules that seem to be working and a few consistent tactics.

Nevertheless, there are some things worrying me right now.

First off, I know that when I play against a weaker team that plays defensively and breaks on the counter attack, I should use slow tempo and short passing, as well as a deeper d-line. I think I got it right till now.
The problem is that sometimes I keep creating chances on goal but my finishing is very poor, so I find myself struggling to get a goal. Is there a better way to fix this instead of sitting and wondering what to do? I'm not looking for a miracle, I'm jsut tired of sitting there and praying to get a goal.

And another problem are the Scouting Reports. I try to tweak my tactics according to the opposition, but the scout I assigned to do the reports only does it like once every 10 matches, so most of the times it's like taking a shot in the dark. I checked with my Board, and they have no restrictions to where I can send my Scouts, and the Reports assignment is there for weeks. I tried changing scouts but the result is the same. What do I do?

Make sure your scout is only assigned to scout the next opposition - nothing else.

The only times when you won't get a full report from him should be after international breaks.

Are the quality of your shots good?
If they are one on ones, are they in acres of space? If they are not, lower the closing down of your strikers.
