Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Couple of quick questuions?

Just looking for some general advice for the fiollowing:

1) What measures do you take to get your strikers oer their Goal Droughts?

2)What seeting do you have your wingers on to produce good dribbles and crosses? I have crossing often and rwb often. They have a got the the sats to do theses instructions but just run dwon the wing and their crosses get blocked allmost every time!!

Cheers

Provided everything with your tactics is OK, the only thing you can do is raise the player morale. Try to encourage him! Tell him you have faith in him before games. Also, if you are winning a game - this player needs to play even for a minute so that you can praise him!

Some players will get determined to score if you publicly criticize them but that can be tricky 'cause you do not want to insult him.

Another thing is to let him play for the reserves - it is easier to to score there and players raise their morale after every good performance even if it is against Leek Town!

2)What seeting do you have your wingers on to produce good dribbles and crosses? I have crossing often and rwb often. They have a got the the sats to do theses instructions but just run dwon the wing and their crosses get blocked allmost every time!!

It is frustrating when your crosses get blocked every time!

One thing is to do is increase the width the team plays. Also consider playing with higher tempo and direct passes (Like Man Utd) to give your wingers additional space and to make the opposition full backs.

I also like to give my wingers more creative freedom and FWR - this will make them move up and down the wing more and create space.

Remember, though, your wingers need to be fast to avoid the full backs! If they are not you can do two things - first you can make the full back go forward and help the winger and get some one-two passes going. Second, you should consider turning RWB to normal and/or crossing from deep. This will make your winger deliver the ball faster - before the defender gets close to him.

Please, have in mind that these changes may change other aspects of your tactics! I hope this helps.
Cheers
