I like to read about peoples tactics but it makes me wonder why the need to try to create such a tactic with one of the big 4. The game is not that hard to play with these teams.

I tried it with AFC Wimbledon and it never worked. In fact it is close to getting me relegated. I followed your pointers step by step.

It still works, at least for medium~big teams. I used Eddie Johnson again as my target man and he scored 38 goals, and 19 assists in 44 games.

Using homemade tactics on any of the big clubs Arsenal, Man U etc to me is pointless without trying them out first in the lower leagues. Will your current tactic do as well with let's say Accrington. Of course the players are of a different calibre etc, but build a tactic and try it with lesser quality players and then brag about it

On the alternative home version do u still use toni as your tm even though hes let of centre or do you use van persie? thanx in advance.

For TM these are the players I always shoot for in this order:

Klose (~$50 Mil), Toni (~$20 mil), Eddie Johnson ($2 Mil) and Juilo Baptista (Arsenal).

Johnson is a cheap and extremely good target man, Klose and Toni are just a little better for a lot more money. I would never use Van Persie as my TM, I would either put him in the left striker spot or use my Home Version if I have him, Henry and a TM.

To crazyscotsman: The problem with lower leagues is how tough it is to find a good target man, because as I said they are responsible for your whole team's performance. Without a good TM, your whole team will suffer. So no, maybe it's not for smaller teams... but Valencia topping the Spanish League with ease and Arsenal topping the EPL with ease is more than enough to prove it will and can work. Building the team to work with it is part of the game - this isn't a supertactic.
