I'm currently in my first season with Leeds. I have got 13 coaches, 4 of which are youth team coaches. Is there a possibility I might have too many coaches? Will having too many coaches affect my player's improving in training? Or is it a case of the more coaches you can get, the better?
On a side note, I've been reading a few of these tactics & training threads over the past few days and must say I have gained quite some knowledge. It's improved my enjoyability of the game no end. I believe it's helping me pick up points I wouldn't have gained otherwise. A case in point being a recent game away to Birmingham. I had 4 players away on international duty, and a few injuries. Not only that, but during the game Gary Kelly decides to get sent off with half an hour to go! It was a real back to walls job and I escaped with a 0-0 draw. Before I'd read the threads I'd have prabably ended up being comfortably beaten.
I think it's more a question of how good your coaches are rather than how many you have. You can have too many poor coaches, but never too many great ones, hehe. Look to get as many as you can with high star ratings for different areas of training and offload some of the poorer ones (as long as you don't need them or can replace them with better coaches).
Just like paul said, look to get as many with high star ratings...in training just tick each box...if you have 5 coaches who are 5 stars in defending but only 1 coach with 5 stars in attacking it maybe time to find new attacking coaches. Try and have the smaller roles like Ball Control, Shooting, and Set Pieces at 4 stars minimum. The bigger roles Strength, Aerobics, Goalkeeping, Tactics, Attacking, and Defending all should be at 5 stars.
Dont assign your asst, 1st team, youth team, or regular coaches as fitness coaches...thats why you have fitness coaches in the first place.
