I am writing this post because I came across a situation and all of you that post in this forum must be aware of.

My friend from Moldova sent an e-mail to someone that all of you respect so much,asking him for an advice regarding his Sheffield Project,and this man,if i can call him this way,said that because my friend was not English he didn't deserve his attention.

Must i remind him that World War 2 ended and we are in 2007? I mean how would this make you feel coming from a moderator,i was so disgusted when i heard abut it,you can't imagine.

So for all of you that are not English and maybe for those that are,you should think about it next time you ask him for advice because you might come across a rasist remark like my friend did.

I have a feeling this thread may get locked pretty fast.

If you have a problem with one of the moderators, the best way to go about it would probably be to get in touch with someone from SI (people with the SI logo in their user name) and submit your reasons with any evidence you have that way. As it stands it is just one guys word against anothers, so most people will probably be pretty sceptical about believing this.

There are around 12 pages of replies in his Sheffield United Project thread, he has answered a huge amount of posts, surely not every one of the people he replied to is from England. I'm not saying that you are lying, just that you will need more credibility than just explaining a situation that could be totally fictional.

Yeh evidence would be good, thouh I personally feel that sometimes these forums arn't as much of a bastion of free speech as others I have used.

I'm sure this will get locked quickly too...

Yeah,totaly fictional,i had nothing better to do,i'm not some kidd making a joke,it happened,you don't belive me,o.k.,i don't care,but you belive that Sheffied Project,which is an insult to all the people here saying that the game is very hard,it s great way to help them.Let's make a thread in which i show people how i restart most of the games untill it works out,but not tell them just basic things like how to play the game effectively,it s up to you if you belive that.And there was this guy that posted that he applied what he saw in that thread but with Portsmouth and had awful results,let's be serious we are not kidds

and i am not trying to scare no one off this forum, i ask you not to let someone take you for fools,like mogggydave i think that are others that encountered some difficulties on this forum,but didn't have the courage to say it,what happened to my friend was something that defided commonsense

At the end of the day whether you like or hate moderators, they are here to stop public forums descending into off topic/abuse etc

They are like politicians and are probably never going to be entirely popular as they are people who enjoy power - and that they have to make decisions that adversely affect specific people or groups of people (ie bans/ closing threads) for the sake of the larger community.

Whilst the moderation here is fairly tight, they generally leave you to your own devices, Ive had zero problems on my own tactics threads for example when the topic drifts slightly.

Also they seem active and helpful for the wider community.

Im not sure about your comments regarding nationalistic bias, i would be very suprised if any of the mods I have come across here bias any user above another.
