Im playing a 5-3-2. Im not sure to set up the back lione like this

any help on which is the most defensive sound would be great thanks

I've no answer, rather I've been looking around asking the same question, so I guess I'm just giving this a little bump.

Some people seem to say it's better to use the sweeper, but I don't now why and how you would set the defenders up.

Personally I prefer a sweeper if you are playing a back 3, he adds more cover. If you are playing with 3 across the park..you could find two of them going for the same ball at times.

I think many prefer a 4-back D-line. The problem with 3-backs is down the flanks. If you have 3 DCs and 2 wingbacks, you lack offense; either way it's not desirable.

yes use your sweeper and don't play offside.Using 3 DC in a line is good only when you set to them different closing down.
