Looking at the tactics screen i noticed it says target men, so does this mean that if i select 2 both will be used? is so how will they be used, will the number one player be selected ahead of others on the list, meaning that the number 2 player will only be trageted when the number 1 traget man in unavailable (for example player one is defending a corner so player 2 who has stayed up the pitch will be targeted)?
also closing down, the settings are rearly, mixed and often. should we also have the options of slow, mixed and quick. id also like to select how quick my players close down not just how often the do.
To answer your first question: It goes in order, you can't have two ctive targetmen on the pitch. So if the first one is unavailable the second one becomes the target man and so on.
The second question: Well you see closing down cover everything in this game, a rarely closing down makes them stay in formation longer, thus closing down slower, if you mean you want to close down often but using a slow pace(?) when doing this I must ask why? closing the distance slowly gives the player more time on the ball thus more chance of finding a weakness in your defence while the player comes against him. If you want fast and rarely you've already got it imho. A player on rarely closing down will stay in formation longer but once he does close down it's not some halfhearted walking towards the player closing down...
i get what your saying about closing down, and it already covering every thing.
the only thing that fustrates me with closing down is my full backs, they seem to come inside to much and not mark the winger, ive tried putting him on man and zonal marking with high and low closing down, but i dont need him comming inside thats what my DMS is there for.
