playing the same tactic all the time doent work in real life just as it doesnt in the game maybe the other team changed their tactic after a bad start to the season all teams loose some games that they are favoured to win just look at man utd that 2 games where west ham have humbled them just like chelsea being licky to draw against villa or celtis beatin millan all unlikely reslts but these things happen in football
james agree with all uve stated.. BUT!! on fm2008, you know its going to happen when you meet a team where your a huge fav or there in the dropzone. not got many gripes with game still fun at times but can get annoying when you the lesser team play like worldclass geniuses. theres more but just wanted jablome to know i know where he,s coming from.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I am talking about. Not a complaint. Just wondering if anyone has some insight in how to beat this. You really do see it coming and seemingly no matter what you do, you lose. It is definitely most prevalent v. a drop zone team (but also against a mid-table team when you are 1st) you are heavily favored to beat. Then you manage to lose the game. If you play it again. You lose. Etc.
The key is to get your players motivated, to treat it like a bigger test than they think, try giving different responses to the pre match press conference and try different team talks to get them motivated.
I've finished outside the top 10 in 1 season out of 10 as i work my way up the leagues from the BSS, currently near the top of league 1 again this season and only ever used 2 tactics and even then never had to change it mid season.

This is definitely something I suspected.
Let me ask you this: With a home game against a lesser team, but where there are a lot of expectations, do you ever tell them the pressure is off?
You could try that option, a lot of players crumble under expectation especially at that level, failing that you could try expect a win or you could work out which option works best with each player throught trial and error and use a mixture.
