Default Cardiff City

I have just bought FM08 and haven't even installed it yet, but i'm wondering if any of you experts out there could recommend a few players who a club like Cardiff could realistically sign and have the ability to take me to the Premiership.

I have no idea how much money I have, probably not much, but if anyone could mention a few players to help me to start off well it would be a great help and much appreciated!

i started with Cardiff at first too.. but all of my old-age strikers (Hasselbaink, Fowler) injured for 4-5 months..
so i really recommend to buy a young striker

Sign Pablo Piatti, really cheap, really good. Just go a nice bit over what he asks for, cause lots of other bigger teams are in the running for him, too. I tried a couple of different games with Cardiff, caught him every time. Also, you may want to sign Nordtveit on loan, just pay 100% and he should be yours.

Also, get a decent goalkeeper. I'm sure there are better, and younger, but I sign Xavier Oliva.

Hope it helps.

I have just signed Piatti and have tabled a loan bid for Nordtveit, I have also signed Molina on a free as my keeper.

My signings so far are:
Steve Marlet - free
Jose Francisco Molina - free
Raymond Kalla - free
Genero Zeefuik - loan
Dong Fangzhuo - loan
Adel Taarabt - loan
Philip Ifil - loan
Pablo Piatti - 50k
Mika Aaritalo - 475k (looks amazing!)

Players I have sold are:
David Forde - 50k
Kevin Cooper - 90k
Paul Parry - 300k
Stephen McPhail - 325k

My team at the moment is:

GK Molina
LB Capaldi
CB Johnson
CB Kalla
RB Ifil
LM Piatti
CM Taarabt
CM Rae
RM Marlet
ST Aaritalo
ST Fangzhuo

Subs:- Turnbull, Purse, Ledley, Sinclair, Zeefuik

I think Robbie and Jimmy are too slow, I also have high hopes for Darcy Blake and I keep getting enquiries about Chris Gunter, does anyone know if he develops into anything special, I'm not sure whether to keep him or not?

Just played the 1st half of a friendly away to Mansfield and i'm 5-0 up at half time! Fangzhuo has run them ragged scoring 2, a Taarabt free-kick, Marlet and Aaritalo have scored the others.

I can't wait for the season to kick off now but if anyone can suggest any other players I could sign it would still be useful! I have over a million to spend!
