I like to play the lower leagues as promotion gives me a real aim, instead of just trying to gain a champions league or UEFA cup place. I respect you choosing them, but thats not what I'm here for.

I'm wondering if there are any real good buys or loans for a young/cruddy team to make to ensure that I can take my bunch of hopeless players up to the next league.

If you know any, just post the name of such a player, their club, and where they play.

Well I dont know which of these will come to you or how much they'll cost and whether they'll be in your budget, but some/most should be available on loan for you to have a look at if not straight out buy:

Arsenal:
Nacer Barazite
Armand Traore
Harvard Nordtveit
Alexandre Song
Abou Diaby (first season can be loaned)
Justin Hoyte
Carlos Vela (season 2)
Rhys Murphy

Man Utd:
Darron Gibson
Craig Cathcart
Jonathan Evans
Tomacz Kuszczak/ Ben Foster (one should be available)
Park Ji-Sung (back up, but doubt he'll come to you even on loan)
Febian Brandy
Fraizer Campbell

Liverpool:
Harry Kewell (doubt if he'll come)
Jack Hobbs
Sebastian Leto
Krisztian Nemeth
Danny Guthrie
Emiliano Insua (maybe, not sure)

Chelsea:
Michael Mancienne
Hilario (can be bought, dunno if he'll come)
Claude Makelele (might come after season 1)

Thats just a few to look at. What you need to do is go look in the reserves of all the big teams and you'll find plenty of players who're listed for loan, transfer listed or are just backups. If they're backups you should be able to get them on loan. Make the offer and see. See if you can get guys Freddy Eastwood on a transfer or loan. He's supposed to be awesome in the Championship.
