Default Taking St. Albans to English glory !

Season 2005-2006 : St. Albans Conference South

Transfer budget : 0€
Board expectation : Avaid relegation

8 players in , total of 4000€
1 player out , total of 16000€

as i came to the saints , i saw that there was a very small players selection , i sent out my scout and signed 8 players in total , none left at the beginning of the season.
season went very well , where we found ourselves in the top-5 all season long , and finished on a good place.
Cups went very well too
my top scorer was one of the new signing , i used him as a sub , but when one of my attackers got injured , i put him on , he kept on scoring and scored 35 in 41 performances , player of season too

Competition : Pld 42, won 25, drn 9, lost 8, for 93, agnst 47, Pts 84
FA Cup : 4th qualification round
FA Trophy : won

Season 2006-2007 : St. Albans Conference South

Transfer budget : 27000€
Board expectation : respectable position

5 players in , total of 3000€
3 players out , total of 65000€

i really wanted promotion now , just because i played a good season last year but had a bad start , now i want to do well in the competition , and maybe a bit less in the cups , cups are good money-boosters but that's all seasond turned out great , a 21 match unbeaten run to start with  , cups sucked @rse :p
player of season was the same guy as last season , scoring 39 in 32 games

Competition : Pld 44, won 31, drn 10, lost 3, for 113, agnst 46, pts 103
FA Cup : 2nd qualification round after replay
FA Trophy : 3rd qualification round

Season 2007-2008 : St. Albans / Belgium Conference National / EC qualification

Transfer budged : 49000€
Board expectation : avoid relegation

2 playeres inn , total of 22000€
3 players out , total of 325000€ (including my top-scorer player of the season)

my own expectation was to stay around mid-table and end in the top-10 , we started pretty bad , but had a great turn , started to win some and won very important games too , i never expected to finish like this , but we managed to do it , agains cup sucked , but everybody allready knows that we faced a tough season but with the right results , so i'm proud of my players

Belgium wanted me to qualify for the euro cup , but when i was asked , there were only 4 games to go

Competition : Pld 46, won 25, drwn 13, lost 8, for 87, agnst 45, pnts 88 (2nd finished on 88 pnts , 3rd and 4th on 87)
FA Cup : 1st round
FA Trophy : 4th qualification round

EC Qualification group 4 : Pld 12, Won 7, Drn 2, Lst 1
3, For 21, Agnst 10, Pts 23
EC : Won group stage , in round 1 I lost against France in ET

Yes. I can absolutely see the Belgium manager being a guy in the English conference.

I guess you put Belgian as your nationality though?

KUTGW!

I see SI hasn't quite fixed the reputation bug. A bit quick to get a national job, eh? Nevertheless...good luck with it!

I was about to say good update, until I read that you took over Belgium.

How many non league English managers have, or ever will, manage the Belgium national side Dovy?

That said, it seems to be pretty unrealsitic on the AI front too...on one of my saves a certain lanky swiss defender had two international management jobs - Swizerland and then Belgium and he had no club experience at all!!!

i actually allready feel sorry for taking the international job :o

i'll resign from belgium and wait till another opportunity drops by , now that i'm in league 2 i'll certainly have that chance soon

i never realised the fact that it was wrong to take a national job while still in the conference, they probably asked me since i'm belgian and allready in the belgian hall of fame

at this point we are in league 2 , forgot to mention we promoted update will follow when season is over
