Since the LLM style is all about "realism," this would seem to fit nicely. I've done it regularly myself, however I often have trouble luring top performers to switch to my team.

Well, this charts are like Eve and the apple. Personally, I take a glance on the 'top scorers' table, as I think that this table is easy to find in real life.
However, I consider that looking into the 'Average form' table is a way to cheat as this information is vely unlikely to exist in real life for lower leagues. This table give you simply the best players of the division and my opinion is that, this knowledge should be acquired only by experiencing the league you play into.
So my opinion is that this issue should be clarified into LLM rules (which charts are banned and which are not).
