I'm in France, with 06, and other than a couple Krauts applying, it was pretty realistic in terms of nationalities. Well, there was a famous Belgian, though not so famous about what he did on the pitch, as for what he did for players moving from club to club once their contracts expired.

But the Frenchmen who applied were all asking for ridiculously high wages, so it makes me wonder why they'd apply to a club in my situation.

So after all of that, you're still better off doing your own search, in my mind.

I always use the job centre for my LLM games. Even though I get stange application sometimes, I consider almost all the other ways as unrealistic.

However, in the workington challenge game, I signed a coach who was one of my players favourite personnel.

I actually don't think it's that unrealistic that so-called foreign blokes apply for coaching jobs. Player X from some African nation carves out a playing career and a life in the UK. He's not necessarily going to want to leave the UK when he retires from playing, is he?

Of course it would help the realism if some natives applied as well...

The job centre's useless IMO. None of the applicants I've had in five seasons would accept a job on the wages I could offer... So why the hell are they applying then? (rhetorical question)

How exactly do you search realistically for staff?

On staring the game with a new LL team.

I go to the search screen - staff.

I customise for an unemployed coach, with a nationality that matches mine/the country I am managing in. I then have a quick look at the stats and offer him a job if he seems suitable and he will accept the pittance I am offering.
