I have never done it myself but apparently the first couple of job offers you get will be from the same teams because they start without managers. After a while it is more random because managers get sacked. Far easier to just pick a team and go from there.

Leaving the game running overnight with you 'on Holiday' works well in terms of randomising things a bit.
