Valid, Phil, but not necessarily true. It's a fairly safe bet that most of the teams you played had more multi-million valued superstars in their squad than you, I'd have thought. Which would be reflected in the AI assessment of the team strength.
(FWIW, I do think reputation is a more likely answer, but I think it's an interesting debate).

Fair point actually. Some of my players may have been of a similar ability, but their values were a lot less. My highest was probably about £300k, which obviously paled into comparison with most of the others.
Its a pity I didnt bet a weeks wages on my Limerick team as we ended up winning the league.I would have been able to retire after one season of management!

I used to play a footie management game AGES back that let you bet on the outcomes of your games. No surer way of getting a few extra quid than to 'somehow' lose a game you were odds-on to win.
I meant my fictional weeks wages as I dont actually manage Limerick(it would be cool though although Id probably get stabbed on my way to our first match.."they dont call it stab city for nothing").....FM isnt real life.
