| Sorry to pop in again, but this whole discussion has NOTHING to do with how you guys play the game. I'm pretty sure tons of people are playing FM2006 exactly like you.
Then they check some forums to share their experiences, see that nice one here and post about their fun...they come back 15 mins later and BAM, page is full with...
"you broke the rule"
"you broke the rule"
"you broke the rule"
"you broke the rule"
This whole discussion is only about the forum and how it's handled. And once again, I persist in saying that this whole forum title is wrong and misleading hence why you guys get spammed, and get ****ed of, and strengthen the rules even more but since NOBODY reads them, it ****es you off ever more and ****es the new people in the process because to be honest, some of the answers in here are REALLY rude...
Anyway, hold on the fort fellas |

I'm not a mod.
I can have one of them warn you for giving me grief though...
| Bloody semantics What we really need is a second forum for lower league managers where bragging cheating and tipping are not just allowed they are compulsory. In there a mod would card you if you didn’t name a player in a post. |

Iajafer, I suspect that you didn't read my posts very carefully, because I never suggested that tactical downloads, player naming, or anything of the sort was acceptable. To compare what I'm saying to those that want such things is insulting. And if you had read my earlier posts carefully, you might have noticed that I said that my posting on this forum involves the implicit acceptance of the rules.
But obviously there is no room for any sort of reasonable discussion about the rules here, even from those like me who have followed them and continue to do so. As you mentioned, the rules have been dynamic and have changed over the years. But how exactly did that happen, if not from discussion and people presenting possibilities and alternatives? It certainly DID NOT happen because people did absolutely nothing other than accept the status quo.
But it's pretty obvious that change is no longer possible on this forum, because any suggestion will be equated to some form of extreme cheating, and posters will be insulted. This is why I say that nothing will change, even if there were hundreds of forum members making the suggestions. They will all be assumed to be some kind of tactics downloaders masquerading as LLaMas.
Those that try to suggest a slight change will simply be lumped in with those that download tactics and want good player guides, even though such a comparison is totally groundless.
Anyway, there is no further point in talking about it, because I don't care to be insulted again by being compared to 13 year-old gamers that fill their squads with their mates.

| NOBODY? Rubbish! I read the forum rules when I first joined this place. I read, I lurked, then I joined in the discussions. Look at my first posts. You'll see that at no point was I ever flamed. Every forum I visit I look at the guidelines. And I'm sure I'm not alone.
What you should say is that only the ignorant and mentally inept don't read forum posting guidelines.

I have to agree with Quinny. I have spent quite some time on this board before making my first post, reading the header, stickies, some of the threads that have been around for the longest time, just to get a feeling for this place, what it's about and what the people are like.
What you still have to understand: this forum hasn't been made for you. There is no given right that you can act here like you wish to. There are guidelines and rules which don't exist to restrict people but to make sure this is a friendly place where likeminded people can share their experiences in a fashion that is different to the other fora. If you don't like it, you don't like it. Point made, and maybe you like one of the millions of other places more.

| What Liam said. You go into a forum. You read some, maybe you lurk a little, then you post. I've never been flamed for rulebreaking either.
It's really not that difficult. You go somewhere you've never been before, you read the signs, notices etc or you'll end up lost or worse. Simple if you ask me.
