I'm in quite a posty mood this evening. Hopefully this won't be as dumb as the last. How little about unscouted players should I know if I'm attempting to play by LLM rules? Is it unethical, as a French Manager, to know about a good player on the Marseille reserve side and then send my scout to have a look before an attempted loan request? Or, could I watch a match and have my scouts further scout a player that looked good in the match that I watched?
As a complete newbie to LLM, I'd say that you can't introduce any kind of inside knowledge because you need to earn the right to find a decent player. It sort of defeats the purpose of playing LLM IMHO, but, as I said, I'm a newbie, so what do I know!

This is one thing about LLM as defined herethat seems barmy to me. We all know about famous players from reading newspapers, websites and so on - and we don't have jobs in football. In FM, to only look at players your scout mentions supposes that although you have a job (part-time or full-time) managing a football club you take no interest in the news of your industry!
If that's the way this forum enjoys playing the game, then fine, but if anything it's more UNrealistic than realistic.
NB: This "real world knowledge" is different to using knowledge of the game engine, eg that Cosmo Loonpants has a great PA and the first thing you should do is look at Royston Vasey's reserves and sign him
Im not a LLM in real life but i know about good players through sky sports news for one, so i dont see why it would be unethical or whatever to send a scout to watch a player if iv been hearing rave reviews or have been impressed with some highlights iv spotted on the tele.
