Enjoying a challenge i took over my beloved Shrewsbury Town. Now im not exactly sure what expectionations are at Shrewsbury ....but Promtontion to League one in one season would im sure make fans happy to get Promotion into the champsionship imho would make you a legend ..to get promotion ...the thrid consective promotion straight from bottom on the english football league to the Prerimer ship and making (Give or take) 200 million on the way ..would make you some sort of god like being with your own personal statue ......and then to be 14th in the premier isnt to shabby at all.....(also consider i gave them a FA cup final which was only lost 1-0 agaist chealsa)
yes this wasnt good enough for either the fans or the chairman who sacked me...
im shocked ...flabgastered....sick as a parrot.........are shrewsbury fans just the worse in the entire galaxy or have other people have simlar things happen?
too much writing, not enough space, you konw the thing to do know, go to another team and buy all the players and just pretend you changed your team's name
Perhaps getting Shrewsbury promoted so quickly ment that they felt you were god and infact wanted you to win everything.. But when you didn't deliver they thought.
"WHAT! This guy can't win us eveything!? Lets get someone in who can"
And there you go.. Giving the fans and the cahirman to much candy obvioulsy gave them an addictive sweet tooth and you just wasn't sweet enough.
Random sackings are not unknown in the realms of LLM. Many things could contribute:
Wage bill too high for a long period of time.
Losing the dressing room, if you have upset a couple of players.
Hastling the board for improvements.
Continually applying or expressing interest in other jobs.
From what you have said, it does seem a touch harsh but as we all know there is no loyalty in football!
In addition to what Stan explained, which is usually why people are sacked, it's also entirely possible that the board simply decided that a change was needed to insure that the club would stay up in the Premiership. Notice how clubs in real life tend to get rid of a lot of players that helped them to promotion, because they feel that they need better players to compete at the next level. Maybe the same was the case for you as a manager in your saved game. Maybe the club figured that you took it as far as you could, and now it's time to get a high profile manager with experience in the top flight.
I suspect this is a very old game probably on an old version otherwise I'd like to know how he got 200 million in the bank..... Unless that is Turkish Lira of course
